Football’s coming home – finally the Bundesliga returns to SAT.1!
SAT.1 secured the exclusive live free-TV package from the German Soccer League Bundesliga. This makes SAT.1 the only free-TV channel to show the Bundesliga as of season 2021/2022. Included in the rights package are a total of nine live matches per season, including the season opener and the Supercup as well as the matches before and after the winter break, the start of the second Bundesliga, and the relegation matches in the first and second Bundesliga. The licensing package is valid for four seasons. In addition to the live broadcast in SAT.1, the matches will be shown on ran.de, sat1.de and the associated apps, as well as via livestream on Joyn at the same time. Back in the nineties, SAT.1 set standards with "ran Bundesliga," and is now getting going again – with the first-class ran team, of course.
